Step 1
Start to make a pompom using the pompom maker. It does not matter which colour pompom you make first. Wrap the wool around the pompom maker until you have totally covered each half of the pompom maker. Tie and cut the wool to form the pompom.

Trim all around the pompom to tidy it up.

Now you have your first completed pompom.

Repeat this so you have 3 white pompoms and 4 brown pompoms.

Step 2
Thread white wool through the large eye needle.

Push the needle through the centre of the pompoms. Pull the wool all the way through.

Repeat this so all the pompom are attached to the wool. The 4 brown pompoms need to be at the bottom.

Once they are all threaded pull the wool tight. This will pull all the pompoms together.

Your pompoms should now look like the picture below. You will now be able to see your pompom Christmas pudding is taking shape.
Tie the wool strands together quite tight to hold your pompoms together.

Step 3
To make the pompoms for the top we are going to make a small pompom using our fingers. I have a video tutorial here showing you how to make a pompom using your fingers if you want to take a look.
To make these small pompoms, wrap the wool around your fingers approx 50 times. Tie the wool through the middle and cut through the loops of wool to form your pompom. Trim around the edge of the pompom to tidy it up. Repeat this process so you have 3 pompoms.

Add a small amount of hot glue to the pompom. Place the red pompoms onto the white pompoms. This is going to make them look like berries.

Now you have your completed pompom Christmas Pudding. These will make really cute hanging decorations for the tree or could even be used to attach to presents.
