Have you ever wondered why you need to attach text and designs together in Design Space? Well I'm going to explain how to attach using cricut design space . Also why you will find the attach feature really handy.
Creating your design
Firstly you will need to create your design on your canvas. This can be text and/or svg designs, if you are feeling adventurous it can even include cut lines.

Open your canvas and click on the text icon on the left hand side. In the text box start typing any words you would like in your design.

I then added a shape and a final word to complete my design. To add a shape, click on the shape icon on the left hand side. This will bring up the options for shapes. Click on the shape you require and it will be added to your canvas.

Once you are happy with the design you have chosen you are now ready to attach together all your design.

Selecting your design
Before you can attach your design you will need to select all the design. This can be done a few different ways.
The first way is to click on select all which is along the top of your canvas.

This will select all of your design and text. Once it is selected you will see that it has a box around it all.

The second way is to drag a box over all your design, again once it has selected all your design you will see a box around all your design.

The final way to select your design is to hold down the shift key and the select all the layers that you are wanting to attach. You can select all the layers in the right hand side panel. Once they have been selected they will change to a darker shade of grey.

Ready to attach
Now you have selected all your design using one of the ways above. You are now ready to attach. To attach all the design you need to head down to the bottom right corner and click on the attach icon.

This will attach the design together. So now if your move your design around on your canvas the design will all stay together.
Making your design
Once you have attached all your design, click on make it.

You will see your design positioned on your mat exactly as it was on your canvas.

If you don't attach your design before you click on make it, design space will jumble up the design to minimise the amount of vinyl that you use. At this point you can move them around the mat so they are positioned as you want them to be cut.
