Getting Started

To get started assemble the flower box leaving the front section open. Take the foam block, measure and cut the block so that it fits inside the bottom of the bouquet box.

Prepare the chocolate

Next, you need to prepare all the bars of chocolate. Line up all the bars of chocolate so that the writing on the chocolate is all going in the same direction.

A roll of sellotape with a bar of fry's orange cream and a skewer

For this I used 2 different sized skewers so that the chocolate at the back of the bouquet was higher up than the chocolate at the front. I also used the longest chocolate bars at the back and the smaller bars at the front. If you don’t have 2 different sized skewers that’s not a problem as you can just cut the skewers shorted for the chocolate that will be at the front of the bouquet.

Attaching the skewers

The fry's orange cream turned over with the over lapped wrapper at the back lifted up and skewer placed under the overlapped wrapper

To attach the skewers to the chocolate I lifted up the wrapper flap at the back of the bar of chocolate and placed the skewer on the underside and secured with Sellotape (you can use hot glue if you prefer).

Then fold the flap back over the skewer and tape this down as well for a bit of extra stability. I repeated this for all the bars of chocolate.

Assembling the bouquet

Now you are ready to start assembling the bouquet. Start by placing the largest bars of chocolate into the foam block that is inside the bouquet box. There is a lot of trial and error to this part to make it how you want it.

You may also need to stick the skewers in at an angle to get the desired effect you require. Carry on doing this until all the chocolate bars have been used or until you are happy.

Next, we need to add the tissue paper to the bouquet to make it look full and fluffy. Lay 2 pieces of tissue paper on the table, making a cross with them. Remove the foam block full of chocolate from the box and lay it in the centre of the tissue paper.

Start to wrap the tissue paper around the foam block in a similar way that you would wrap a present up.

Fold the front of the paper up, tuck the sides towards the back and then bring the paper at the back towards the front, almost so it’s hugging the foam block. Repeat this on both sides.

Adding the cello wrap

Now you need to repeat this with the cello wrap. I cut 2 pieces of cello wrap 25” wide and again I made a cross with them. Place the foam block with the tissue paper on in the middle of the cello wrap and wrap the cello wrap in the same way you wrapped the tissue paper round.

Hold all this together tight and place it all back into the bouquet box, this will hold it all together once its back in the box.

I found it was easier to lay the bouquet box down as that made it easier to close the front panel of the box.

Stand the box back up and now you can start to arrange and straighten the tissue paper and cello wrap so it looks all full and fluffy.

Now all the box is closed use a pull bow or something similar to decorate the front of the box.

Once you are happy with it your bouquet is now complete.
