Step 1- Make the Pompoms

Make your little pompoms. I made mine by wrapping the wool around my fingers approx 60 times.

I made 6 pink pompoms and one white one. This is where you can be as creative as you like. Make your pompoms the colours that you like or to make your intention for them.

Step 2 - Sew the pompoms together

Taking your sewing needle and wool. Thread the needle and tie a knot in the end of the wool.

I used wool as it is stronger than just normal cotton.

Start by taking the first pompom and thread the needle through the centre. Pull all the wool through, stopping before you get to the knot. You need to leave a small length of thread, approx 2 inches before your first pompom. Repeat this step with all your coloured pompoms.

Step 3 - Secure the Pompoms

Once you have sewn all the pompoms together, you now need to secure them all and form the outer part of your pompom flower. To do this take both ends of the thread and tie them together in a tight knot. Do not pull too tight as you want to keep the flower shape.

Step 4 - Sewing in the inner pompom

Take another piece of the wool and thread the needle. Use this to sew the middle pompom into the flower.

Thread the needle through the middle of the pompom and then through the centre of one of the outer pompoms. Repeat this stage until your centre pompom is secure and is attached to several of the outer pompoms.
