Step 1 - Make your design

The first thing you need to do is decide on the design that you are going to use. I used a bunny design that I purchased from designbundles.net.

To allow me to size my design correctly I loaded a circle onto my canvas that is the same size as the acrylic circle that I will be using. The size of the circle was 2 inches. I changed the colour of my circle to be yellow so that I could see my design clearly to ensure that I made it the correct size.

Next I moved the bunny design and name into the circle to get the correct size. The bunny ended up being 1.6'' high by 0.889'' wide. My name was 0.75'' wide which made it 0.444'' high. The size of your name might be different depending on the name and your size requirements.

Once you are happy with the size of your design. click on make it at the top of the canvas.

Step 2 - Preparing and cutting the material

The prepare screen is your last opportunity to move your design around to make sure it will be over the vinyl.

On my mat I cut the bunny and the name at the same time on two different coloured pieces of vinyl. Cricut will only place your designs on the same mat if the designs on your canvas are the same colour.

When you are happy with the design location click on continue.

Now you need to select the materials you wish to use. I like to use the Premium vinyl setting and I like the pressure to be set to more.

I positioned my vinyl on my mat to coincide with the position of my design in the prepare screen.

Step 3 - Weeding the design

Once your design has been cut take your weeding tool and weed away all the excess vinyl. This will leave you with your design.

Step 4 - Apply the design to your acrylic circle

*Please remember to remove the film from both sides of your acrylic circle before you apply your design*

Take the transfer tape and burnish it over the top of your design. Remove the paper baking and apply the design straight onto the acrylic circle. Burnish well again to make sure that it is well adhered and then slowly remove the transfer tape.

Repeat the same process with the name.
