Step 1

Take a couple of sheets of kitchen roll and fold it up. Make it just big enough to cover the label on your bottle. Take the nail polish remover and gently soak the kitchen roll.

Putting nail polish remover onto a paper towel

Step 2

Take the paper towel and place it over the bottle label. Keep pressing the paper towel down so that the nail polish remover soaks into the label.

Holding the paper towel soaked in nail polish remover onto the bottle label

Keep adding more nail polish remover if the paper towel becomes dry. This process could take up to twenty minutes.

Step 3

Start trying to peel up the corners to see if the label will lift. If the label does start to lift thats great try and remove all the label.

Removing the bottle label from the front of the bottle

If the label doesn't all peel off and only a layer of paper comes off don't worry just repeat the process again. Press the paper towel soaked in nail polish remover onto the bottle. This will soak into the label and remove it.

Step 4

Once the label is removed put some of the nail polish remover onto the cotton wool pad and rub where the label was. This will remove any residue or glue that has been left by the label. If you're going to replace it with a personalised label the bottle needs to be nice and clean. We don't want anything to stop the new label from sticking to the bottle.
