I love using washcloths to make cute gifts for friends and family. You can literally buy a washcloth for less than a pound. On its own a washcloth is not the most exciting gift to give. But, get creative, turn it into something cute and you have a really cute but cheap gift to give. In this blog i am sharing how to make washcloth sweets.

Step 1
To get started, lay your washcloth flat on the table and start to roll it from one side. Try and keep the rolls really tight. Roll the washcloth so all the washcloth is rolled up.
Once you have rolled the washcloth, it should be long and thin. Start to roll the washcloth again like in the photo below. Roll all the washcloth.
Once you have rolled all the washcloth, it should be like the picture below. Secure the washcloth with one of the clear elastic bands.
Step 2
Lay out the tulle, you need about 7 inches. Cut 2 pieces of the tulle.
Place the rolled wash cloth in the centre of the tulle. Keep one piece of tulle under the rolled washcloth and place the other piece of tulle on top of the washcloth.
Start to fold the tulle around the rolled washcloth to make sure that all the washcloth is covered by the tulle.
Once you have covered all the rolled washcloth. Use the clear elastic bands to secure each end to make it start to resemble a wrapped sweet.
Once you have secured each side with a clear elastic band it should be starting to look like a sweet. It should look like the picture below.
Step 3
Trim the ends of the tulle so they are shorter but not too short.
Add some ribbon of your choice to finish off the washcloth sweets.
Now you know what you need to do to make these super cute washcloth sweets you can now make them in multiple different colours.
