How To Make A Teddy Bear Washcloth

I love how simple and cheap these cute little washcloth teddy bears are to make. With minimal supplies you can turn a boring, unexciting washcloth into a cute teddy that will make a cute gift. I love to add these into gift baskets. Follow along below with my step by step guide on how to make a teddy bear washcloth.

Step 1

Take your washcloth and lay it out flat on the table. Start to roll up one side of the washcloth until it reaches the centre.

Then roll the other side so it also meets at the centre point.

Once you have rolled both sides it should look like the picture below.

Step 2

Fold the washcloth in half, whilst also twisting it slightly. Make the front part of the washcloth shorter than the back part. This will allow the front part of the washcloth be opened up.

Open up the front of the flannel. This is going to form part of your teddy bear.

Step 3

Take a clear elastic band and place it around the top of the washcloth about an inch and a half down. This will create the bears head.

Next, wrap a clear elastic band around each side of the washcloth, at the top to make the bears ears.

When you have added the elastic bands your teddy should look like the picture below.

Step 4

To finish off your teddy washcloth tie a ribbon around its neck. This will also help to hide the elastic band.

Now you have your cute teddy washcloth ready to gift.
