Step 1

Wrapping red, white and blue wool around a cardboard rectangle

Take all 3 colours of wool and wrap them around the cardboard rectangle. I cut my rectangle to be 8'' by 6'' and that was plenty big enough. Wrap the wool around approx 20 times.

Step 2

Threading some tread under all the strands of wool wrapped around the cardboard

Take some wool or thread and place it under the wool. Remove the wool from the cardboard.

Step 3

Using wool to tie the wool strands together about 1/4 inch from the top of the wool

Take all 3 colours of wool again and cut a longish length. Wrap this around the wool a couple of times and then tie. Tie this about 1/4 of the way down from the top.

Step 4

Cutting through the loops at the bottom of the wool to make it level

Once all the wool has been secured then cut through the loops of wool at the bottom to complete your tassel. Trim the bottom to make the wool level.

Trimming the bottom of the wool to make it level

Repeat the above stages for as many tassels as you require and your Tassel bunting will be complete.
