Personalised peg dolls will look really cute in a babies nursery. I bought myself some peg dolls and a few other supplies to have a go at making some. I was really impresses with how they turned out. Step 1
In design space select the name and font you want to use. Measure the size of your peg doll body.

Alter the size of the text so that it will fit in the body of the peg doll. I made the size of my letters 0.75" high. Also make enough small hearts for each of your peg dolls. I made my hearts 0.2" high. Using Self adhesive vinyl cut out all the letters and the hearts. I used my Cricut Maker to cut out the vinyl.
Step 2

Weed all the excess vinyl from around the letters. Leaving only the letter. For the hearts weed the heart out of the middle and save the vinyl so you have the heart shape.

Using the transfer tape, transfer your letters onto the front of the peg dolls. Make sure they are well stuck down so no paint can seep underneath them. Place the hearts on the peg dolls head where lips would be.
Step 3

Paint the peg dolls. I used acrylic paint and I found that it gave a lovely finish to the peg dolls. Although I did have to paint the peg dolls 4 times, so bear this mind.

Step 4

Once the peg dolls are fully painted and dried. Carefully remove the vinyl. When you remove the vinyl from around the heart you will be left with a lovely little heart shape. When you remove the letters you will see the wood in shape of your letter.

Step 5
To create a headband for the peg dolls I used 3 ribbon roses that matched the colour of my paint or was as close as I could get.

Using hot glue I stuck the flowers onto the head of the peg doll. Place the first one in the centre of the peg doll head, followed by one to the left and one to the right. You should now have a head band for your peg doll. Your beautiful personalised peg dolls are now finished and ready to display.
