Little plushies are great to make and so easy, they make great little sewing projects. I made this easy to sew kawaii plush star using one of my son's old onesies. They work really well made out of recycled material like an old onesie or dressing gown. These plush stars can be a great craft for kids as they are so easy and look really cute too.
To make a kawaii plush star you will need the following supplies:
Plush fabric - I used and old onesie
Star template - I just made one using card
Toy Stuffing/Pillow
Needle and cotton thread

Step 1
Take the star template and draw around it on Both pieces of the plush material. I drew on the back of the material, rather than the fluffy side.

Next, cut out both star pieces. I used fabric scissors for this part.

Step 2
Take the piece of black felt, fold it in half and cut out 2 circles. These will make the eyes for your plushie.

Step 3
Place the eyes on the plushie to see where you want to position them. Use some pins to hold them in place ready for sewing.

Using the fabric pens draw a mouth on the material to form a face.

Step 4
Using the needle and cotton sew around the edge of the black felt to secure on the eyes. If you wish you can also sew along the mouth to make it more prominent.

Step 5
Next place the two fluffy sides of the material together and hold together using the pins. Using the needle and cotton again, sew around the edge of the star. Leave a small gap so it can be turned the right way round.

Step 6
Use the small gap you have left to turn the star the right way around.

Once it is the right way around, use the stuffing to stuff the star making sure to get right into the corners.

Step 7
Sew up the gap to complete your star using the needle and cotton.

Your kawaii plushie star is now complete and ready to enjoy. If you are feeling really creative you could add a small amount of ribbon to the top to make it a hanging plushie.
