Step 1

Take your cardboard or foam board, place your bowl on top with half the bowl on the foam board and draw around the top half of the bowl.

Step 2

Cut out the semi circle using the craft knife or scissors. It doesn't have to be neat as it will get trimmed later on.

Step 3

Start to lay out the macrame rope onto the foam board. This will give you the opportunity to play around with it and make any adjustments. I had roughly 9 inches of rope hanging below the foam board.

Step 4

Try and fill as much of the foam board as possible to make a really good ghost shape. Don't worry about any unfilled foam board.

Step 5

Lift the rope piece by piece and secure to the foam board using hot glue.

Step 6

Trim off any excess foam board using the craft knife or scissors.

Step 7

Cut through the loops in the bottom of the rope. This will make the rope into strands. Start to unravel the strands of rope.

Step 8

Once all the strands have been unraveled, trim the bottom of the rope. This will give your ghost a nice even finish.

Step 9

Using the thinner rope, cut a short length, attach it to the back of the foam board with hot glue. This will allow you to hang up your ghost.

Step 10

Attach the self adhesive vinyl ovals onto the ghost to make a face. If you don't have self adhesive vinyl you could also use black card or felt.
