How To Make A Pompom Easter Egg

Pompom Easter eggs are really great fun to make and also really easy, once you know how. These make a great little craft and not just for Easter. Keep reading to find out how to make a pompom Easter Egg.

Step 1 Making the Pompom

Take the pompom maker and the first colour of wool you wish to use start to make your pompom.

If you don't have a pompom maker do not worry as you can make your pompom in the way you prefer.

Wrap your first colour around the centre of the pompom makers arm. I wrapped this around 75 times.

Start to wrap the second colour of wool over the top of the first colour of wool. Again, I wrapped this around 75 times.

Finally wrap the third colour of wool on top of the previous colour. Again I wrapped this 75 times.

Repeat the wrapping process onto both sides of the pompom maker.

Cut and tie the pompom firmly to hold it together.

Step 2 Trimming the Pompom

Start to trim around the centre of the pompom. Try to make it a nice round shape. Cut towards the top of the pompom, cutting the wool a little bit narrower to look like the top of an egg.

For the bottom of the pompom, you are aiming for it to look like the bottom of an egg.

Your pompom egg is now ready to be enjoyed.
