Step 1

Make a pompom using your choice of wool colours. I made my pompom using red, white and blue wool. I started by wrapping the red wool around the pompom maker, followed by the white and finally the blue. At this point you can be as creative as you like and use as many different colours of wool you choose.

Keep wrapping the wool around the pompom maker until you have filled both sides of the pompom maker.

Step 2

Cut a few long stands of each colour wool that you used. Using the hot glue, glue the wool around the top of the wooden dowel.

Step 3

Take the pompom and part the wool. Squirt hot glue onto the pompom. Place the wooden dowel, using the end with the wool on into the glue. Secure this by pressing the pompom firmly around the wooden dowel until the glue sets.
