I love making washcloth animals and I especially loved making this washcloth owl. I love how easy it was to make and how cute it turned out. It makes a plain washcloth look so different, making it great for gifting. In this blog I will show you step by step how to make a washcloth owl.
Materials I used:

Step 1 Getting Started
Lay out the flannel and start to roll the flannel from the bottom corner. Keep rolling until all the flannel is rolled up.

Fold the flannel in half, as shown in the picture below.

Step 2 Forming the owl shape
Fold each side of the flannel back on itself to form the owl wings. They should look like the picture below.

Using a clear elastic band secure the wings in place

Once secured you have now formed the owl shape.

Step 3 Adding the ribbon
To make your owl washcloth look fancier, you can add some ribbon. I used yellow ribbon as I felt this complimented my green flannel. You can use any colour of ribbon you have.

Step 4 Adding the eyes
I added some goggly eyes to my owl. You could also use foam or felt for eyes if you prefer.

Step 5 Adding a beak
I made a small beak for my owl by using yellow foam.

Now your cute washcloth owls are all ready. I think these make really cute gifts. It's a great way to take a washcloth and make it look really cute.
