Step 1
Take your first colour of wool and start to wrap it around the pompom maker. Try and keep all the wool bunched up to only cover one third of the pompom maker arm. Wrap the wool approx 50-75 times.

Next start with your second colour. Do exactly the same as you did with the first colour. Keep the second colour close to the first colour when wrapping. Cover approx a third of the pompom arm again. Wrap approx 50-75 times depending on how full you want your pompom to be.

Repeat the same process with your third colour. This will cover the remaining third of the pompom arm and complete one half of the pompom.

Step 2
Once completed it will look like the picture below. All that is left to do is cut the wool threads.

Step 3
Once cut it will look like the picture below.
Close the pompom arm and repeat the same process on the second pompom arm. You will use your remaining colours of wool for this part.

Once you have covered both pompom arms it will look like the picture below.

Step 4
Trim around the edge of the wool on the pompom maker. You will need Sharpe scissors for this part. This will start to form your pompom.

Step 5
Next, you need to take any coloured piece of wool. Wrap this piece of wool around the centre part of the pompom maker. Pull it tight so that it holds the pompom together, but not too tight or the wool will snap.

Step 6
Once the pompom is all tied. Open up the pompom maker and remove the pompom carefully. You should now have a scruffy looking rainbow pompom.

Step 7
Using some sharpe scissors trim all the way around the edge of the pompom to tidy it up.

Once you have trimmed it all, you will now have your very own cute rainbow pompom.
